Nancy Pelosi denies knowing U.S. officials used waterboarding — but GOP operatives are pointing to a 2007 Washington Post story which describes an hour-long 2002 briefing in which Pelosi was told about enhanced interrogation techniques in graphic detail.

“Chicken’s Coming Home To Roost”. We are a nation of LAWS. You break them - “YOU GO TO JAIL”.

America prosecuted Japanese soldiers at the end of ww2 for water boarding.
and now they try to protect their own?
no this will not do Mukasey.
You see your economy? The world will wipe your economy off the map if you do not comply with Geneva convention rules !

It is not up for debate. Waterboarding is classified as torture by virtually every legal, ethical, military and sociology institution in the world outside of the American Republican party.
en.wikipedia (dot) org /wiki/ Waterboarding
It was torture when the Spanish Inquisition did it, it was torture when the ***** and Soviets did it and it’s torture when we do it as well. Even slaveowners used it to torture runaway slaves for information. This is simply GOP hyper-partisan hackery.

Good old Sheldon Shithouse from Rhode Island. Land of the liberal freaks who steal from the GT and treat the citizens like dogshit. I digress. Now let me see… they can cut our heads off on camera and we can’t give them a fizzy? GET REAL PEOPLE.. I read some of these lame and idiot comments posted here. I don’t think waterboarding is enough touture. If you consipire to kill innocent women and children and you get caught? You better fess up or get some water up your nose.

Your crudeness seems to only be exceeded by your ignorance.

wwaaaaaaaahhhhh pouring water on my face is torture wwaaaaaaaaaahhhh.
Terrorists who intentionally target children with bombs, their comfort is more important than using advanced techniques to extract info that could save innocent lives.

Its torture.

“As for the Republican administration you mention, it was a Democrat administration in power when Waco occurred and for sometime afterward.” Bush had a chance and he didn’t prosecute. It just makes you look stupid to bring that up in this situation.
April 23rd, 2010 at 9:57 pm
It was an accident. There was no criminal act. The order was given to use lethal force only if necessary, and to use flash bangs and non-lethal weapons to help ensure no loss of life. Nobody gave the order to kill children. The ATF used force applicable to the situation. Oh and authorities have admitted to using a technique called waterboarding. That is torture. If you don’t believe that then go ask the men of Spanish Inquisition who invented it or the Khmer who borrowed it.

It was reported that this occurred the info gained from Khalid.. If you don’t believe it its your choice. Numerous authorities have declared there was no torture at Gitmo. & as for “administration prosecutions” well let’s see if Mr. Obama calls for any over Gitmo. As for the Republican administration you mention, it was a Democrat administration in power when Waco occurred and for sometime afterward. That was a major disaster and a criminal act. Reno a walking thug. Killed children.
April 25th, 2010 at 8:38 am
You don’t know if torturing Khalid saved any lives, let alone thousands. You’re taking quite a liberty with that statement. You do not know if the plans were imminent and nor do I because those details weren’t released. For every guy that gives actual useful intel while being tortured there are many more who just say anything to stop being tortured. Then, as if your previous BS wasn’t enough you go Waco? It wasn’t too late for the Republican administration to prosecute anybody, yet they didn’t.
April 26th, 2010 at 10:40 am
We hear that Khalid Sheik Mohammed was waterboarded and revealed vital information that saved thousands of lives due to planned attacks. But Democrats want to prosecute people in the Bush administration over this.
Is it too late to prosecute members of the Clinton Administration for killing American citizen children at Waco?
What does this tell you about Democrats?

I don’t think anyone likes the idea of drowning. Nor does anyone like the idea of going to prison. By your criteria, the US government is inflicting cruel and usual punishment on a daily basis simply by detaining for committing a crime.
May 7th, 2010 at 12:10 pm
Yes prison is torture, and i did not threaten you i thought u liked the idea of drowning.
May 8th, 2010 at 6:21 pm
I’m not saying what waterboarding is. Mukasey isn’t allowed to. I simply explianing why he can’t. By the way, prisoners can have exactly the same pyschological symptoms and suffer from similar health issues, so is prison torture?
And don’t threaten people, you’re on the internet. So if, you are not a thirteen year old boy, stop talking like one…

The question is not if torture is illegal but if waterboarding is torture.
Clearly it is so you need to get your morals together. If it is not torture, may i come and do it to you because it sounds like you would quite enjoy me making you feel like your dying.
Remember known symptoms during and following waterboarding are Heart Attack, Inflamation of the lungs, Even death. And the after effects include nightmares and post traumatic stress. Clearly this sounds highly like Torture. If not WHAT?

Yukio Asano was also guilty of various other forms of torture including beatings and burnings. The trials following WWII were to make sure no one got away clean.
During Vietnam, the one soldier in question was brought up on dereliction charges because he disobeyed direct orders NOT to engage in waterboarding.
The question is not if torture is illegal but if waterboarding is torture. It’s not this man’s job to decide that. The courts must decide and that decision will be enforced.
May 15th, 2010 at 10:49 am
It was torture in WWII USA procecuted Japan on it, also in Veitnam USA army service men were also charged for using the same TORTURE.
Has anything changed …. NO …. Torture is still illegal and i think anyone who dissagrees should seriously wonder about their morals and whether they would like to have simulated drowning proformed on them while they are being detained without charges indefinatly.
Wouldnt being in a place like that be bad enough, I think so.

All licensed Bar Attorneys in the U.S. owe their allegiance and give their solemn oath in pledge to the Crown Temple, realizing this or not. All Bar Associations throughout the world are signatories and franchises to the international Bar Association located at the Inns of Court at Crown Temple, which are physically located at Chancery Lane behind Fleet Street in London. Although they vehemently deny it, all Bar Associations in the U.S. are franchises to the Crown.
